Pet-tolerant motion sensors
Burglar alarms are set up to sound when their sensors detect motion. Sounds great, right? But what does that mean if you have pets at home while you’re out of the house? Luckily, there are options available via Heritage Electrical, and they won’t put you out of pocket, either.
Our alarms can be fitted with pet-friendly PIR (passive, infrared motion sensors), which will prevent the alarm from triggering when they detect movement by anything up to 35kg, which covers cats and most breeds of dog.
What about big dogs?
Configuration options are available for very big dogs. Ask our team.
Can my pet trigger the alarm?
In some situations, yes. For instance, if your pet has a habit of jumping up at windows. However, smart integration will allow you to disarm the alarm remotely.
